SWEET epitomised the UK 70’s Glam Rock movement with their trademark glitter and glam make-up.
The original Sweet was formed in the UK by bassist/vocalist Steve Priest, along with vocalist Brian Connolly, drummer Mick Tucker and guitarist Frank Torpey (later replaced by Andy Scott).
They rose to fame with monster hits, including Ballroom Blitz, Fox On The Run, Love Is Like Oxygen, Little Willy, Hellraiser, Teenage Rampage, Blockbuster, Action and many others.
Sweet were also a force to be reckoned with in pure rock music terms too, and their hits stand the test of time.
